What changes for you
Your Turkish passport scored 113 destinations in the January 2026 Henley index and needs visas for the Schengen Area, the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada. With an Argentine passport, Europe and Ireland are visa-free and the UK needs only an online ETA.
Your Turkish citizenship
Türkiye allows dual citizenship. You keep your Turkish citizenship and notify the Turkish authorities of your new nationality. You continue to enter and leave Türkiye as a Turkish citizen. For men, Turkish military service obligations continue because Turkish citizenship continues.
Moving the funds
Send the funds from your own account at a Turkish bank. For large USD transfers your bank will ask for its own documents on the source of the money; prepare them in advance. If the money comes from a property sale, make sure the price on the title deed matches the money received, or be ready to explain the difference.
Why many Turkish families choose Argentina over Greece
A Greek Golden Visa gives you residence, not a passport, and does not open the UK. Argentina gives you citizenship with no requirement to live there.
